Meet the Maker
Howdy there!
I am the part-time creative Owner & sole-Seamstress behind the machines at OG&Me! Currently, I strictly work during nap times & late-night ventures (when allowed by my kinder-boss).
This creative dream sparked when I picked up an antique sewing machine gifted to me by my lovely grandmother halfway through my pregnancy with my rainbow baby. That was almost 5 years ago & before that time, I hadn't touched a machine since Home Ec class in middle school. Ha! Remember those days? I dusted the beautiful machine off and set a personal goal to hand-make some items for my first born's nursery including his bedding, pillows, blankets, a quilt, clothing, and eventually his cloth diapers.
The passion grew alongside my skills.
I respectfully stepped down from my high-ladder climbing corporate in-office career to be with my baby first &foremost, but ultimately this opportunity proved to give time & space to truly commit to the growing interest in my niche products & find true purpose in a work-life-balance here in our home.
I want to provide my son with (what I believe to be true) the best nurturing care for the most dependent & developmentally advancing time of his life.
I only get one chance at this small, but mighty percentage of this moment & it seems to be the best return on my investment during this eternally grateful time of my life that I wish to continue to pursue thanks to you all!
How I got here & where I came from:
I'm a small-town Texas girl with big dreams of making more of a difference than being a small pebble rippling in this large pond we call, Earth.
Not only am I a well-practiced and constantly learning from pitfalls and necessary failures as a self-*re*-taught seamstress (being human in general), but I invest my emotions, mental capacity, physical drive & varied interests in multiple duties as I stay home with my child.
I'm a part-time home-schooler, Organic Urban Gardener/novice homesteader, Well-Rounded self-taught chef, Plant-based "Nutritionist", Alternative Holistic Naturopath (self-proclaimed, HA!), Financial Adviser, Accountant/Bookkeeper, Small-Business Owner, & Housekeeper. All of these duties are well juggled (for the most part) while taking top-quality nurturing & care of my little one. This commitment & determination adds up to massive savings in our pocketbook when we don't source out for these services.
The biggest bonus is how we all benefit from my personal devotion to the prosperity of the family, we all thrive from my unconditional & passionate contributions.
I also still legally practice my Accounting degree by offering remote accounting consulting services while seeking a more permanent work-from-home remote position so that I may still completely fulfill my kiddo's needs here at our home for the lifestyle we strongly strive to earn & live by humbly.
Hobbies & Personal interests
I greatly enjoy the re-education of multiple topics and variations of the methods I resource this newly re-discovered knowledge. I enjoy learning & giving.
I like to practice vegan food cooking and baking while altering the processes to create my own recipes. I then amateur-photograph these nutritionally-dense meals for Meatless Monday posts in the VIP Facebook Group as well as on our Instagram. I like to dabble in midnight bullet journaling, quilting, sunrise dirt trail running, or exploring nature as much as possible. During the holidays or during "downtime", I tend to get a bit "extra" on present wrapping and thoughtful gift-giving, wreath-making, & all other crafty projects around our home or to share my love with friends & family.
I aspire to find animal sanctuaries, local food pantries, and battered women/children shelters to volunteer with at my next opportunity.
But, most of all, as a human, I am just trying to live a joyful & purposeful life while attempting to use my small pebble ripple in this large planet to restore the one & only life we have by supplying unconditional love, unlimited kindness, uplifting others, & practicing minimalism & zero-waste tendencies.

Additionally, we offer custom & standard cloth wipes, unpaper towels, family cloth, organic face scrubbies, breast pads & other minimal-waste project reusables all shipped in home-compostable packaging.
- The Materials: OG&Me items are progressively striving to reduce waste or use minimal & compostable materials given to us through Mother Earth herself. In our products, you'll find them entirely or majority made with organic, sustainable plant-based, buttery soft organic humanely-raised USA merino wool, naturally sourced, recycled/upcycled, small-batch, WAHM/small business supporting, woman-owned, as well as USA grown & sewn materials. If an item meets one, but preferably & hopefully all of these things, I will offer it here in my business to my customers. (Some non-organics are available until depleted, but most still meet a few of my preferred statements above being, Sustainably Plant-based WAHM/Small business supporting, woman-owned, small-batch printed, &/or Made in the USA.)
- The People: I'm a one-woman shop doing #AllTheThings to keep things running as smoothly as possible while still producing a unique & quality product. The partnerships I have made with suppliers over the years are true friendships as well as positive business connections that give all companies & myself a purpose & joy to do what we do.
- The Message: "Handmade, Natural, & Organic Earth-loving Products for Little Sprouts". This mantra was birthed through the powerful message that "We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors, we BORROW it from our Children!" It's such a powerful & accurate message, so I strive to provide products that will be long decomposed before I am or my children's children, unlike many disposables that can take 200-500 years to break down while consuming valuable resources as they pollute our lands & seas.
The World should be left even more beautiful & healthy for our little Sprouts than we began with it. That is my mission & passion with OG&Me.

(Kapok from the manufacturer: Naturally an ideal pillow stuffing, Kapok fiber is softer and lighter than down and feels like a mix between silk and cotton. Kapok is sustainably harvested from seed pods that are dropped from the Ceiba tree.
